I wanted to create this place for special Christmas things to highlight the traditional gifts I've created from my photographs of the New England of my youth. The winter storm pictures and the beautiful old house photos just made me want to yell out "I'll be home for Christmas!" Of course nostalgia tends to overtake us during the holidays, but I wanted to share some of my memories through the special holiday products I've created from my down home memory album. You'll find a lot of them in the "White Christmas" section of this web site.
Then I remembered that I had a lot of products with an amazing new puppy with her boy and girl! Just in time for Christmas, the new puppy, whose name is Stella, took her new people, who happen to be my grandson and granddaughter, to the Christmas tree lot to select the year's most awesome Christmas tree. Along the way, Stella got lots of hugs and kisses. And her new boy and girl got even more kisses! Stella was decked out in a Christmas red collar to match the red and white attire of her people, including the Santa hat worn by her little girl. A great time was had by all getting ready for a great holiday season. And little did they know that they were going to become the stars of Gramma's Christmas store! After all, who can resist a new puppy at Christmas?
By this time, I was on a roll! I next remembered that I had some products with some fun photos from our travels in Christmases past. Like this one of the mall Santa (Papa Noel) in Lima, Peru. Or the lighting of the tree in the plaza where we live now. There will be more to follow as I find them, but for now, I knew I wanted a section dedicated to Just Fun!
This section will be forever new! The other part of this team is the artist (as distinguished from yours truly the photographer, product designer and web designer). The artist frequently finds himself incapable of stopping. Not to go so far as to say that he is obsessed with creating art, but it is true that he has often been found painting after 3 in the morning and appeared to be surprised that everyone else had gone to bed. We never know what his stuff is - or what to call it - it's abstract after all! You can make of it what you will, but a lot of it, in addition to making some pretty great unique stuff for your walls, makes some fabulous Christmas decorations and other unusual things!
We like teachers. From time to time, we have produced special products for teachers - often funny, sometimes serious, but always honoring the special people who work so hard to educate - or try to educate - a sometimes unwilling audience! We've put just a few items here, but may post some more later, for all of you who want a special gift for a special teacher for the holidays. And to all of you teachers out there: Thank you.
